INTRODUCTORY FLIGHTS
An Introductory Flight and our Initial Training Flight, is a flight that is piloted
by an experienced Instructor/CFI. During this flight you will be comfortably
seated in the 2nd or rear seat of the powered parachute. You will be able to
hear your instructor via helmet/ head-phones. The instructor will demonstrate
the use of the simple components used for powered parachute flight while you
are flowing over some of the most scenic country in southern Utah.
[Note: And YES - you may bring your camera or video with you - as you will be
flying over some awesome country! This is a flight that you will never forget.]
[CAUTION! These flights have been known to cause an addiction for
powered parachutes - so be forewarned!These flight are geared for someone who has never flown in a powered parachute before, and would like first hand knowledge as to whether the

Powered ParaChute (PPC) Training Overview
A major facet of Hughes Aero is our PPC training programs that
appeals to anyone who has the desire to fly. Whether you are a 'passing' tourist, a new student or a retired airline captain, one of our flight training programs will appeal to you.We sincerely believe that no other PPC training program incorporates the years of experience; or the number of graduated Pilots that our CFI's have endorsed.
Our new Sport Pilot training DVD ("SP PPCL Training & Reference manual") is 'second-to-none' for your class training reference materials.
Our structured program consistently builds upon the experiences of our Students;
adding maneuvers & knowledge in simple - but thorough steps - from novice to
Sport Pilot; and even to Private Pilot.We not only have full-time CFI's but also a full-time FAA Sport Flight Instructor
Examiner on staff.We could continue listing our credentials, but we believe that you may find the
endorsements and references of our previous students the best recommendation
of all.

There are multiple approaches to learning to fly a Powered
Parachute. Most paths to becoming a PPC Pilot will depend on
your desired goal. The following is a list of possible paths... -

ULTRALIGHT (U/L) PILOT
- I don't want to take a passenger; and I do not
want to deal with the bureaucracy of the FAA. So, I just need the
basic (BUT SAFE) pilot training: Ultralight level - where no license or
certificate is required; and no medical examination is needed to
experience the recreational flying ecstasy and safety of a powered
parachute. U/L pilots may fly a single-seat PPC (that weights less than
254-lbs and is equipped to carry no more than 5-gallons of fuel) from
30-minutes before sunrise to 30-minutes after sunset in Class 'G' &
Class 'E' airspace as long as you avoid congested (city) areas.

SPORT PILOT (SP)
- Sport Pilots are certified FAA pilots that can take a passenger
and are allowed to fly in 'E' & 'G' airspace without any additional
endorsements. Sport Pilots normally fly from sunrise to sunset
(unless their aircraft is equipped* for night flights) while maintaining
visual reference to the ground.

PRIVATE PILOT (PP)
- A Private Pilot rating has all of the rights of a powered
parachute Sport Pilot - PLUS they have the privilege of Night Flights
and they can approach Towered Airports, without any additional
endorsements.

CERTIFIED FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR (CFI)
- A CFI (Certified Flight Instructor) is qualified to
charge for their training services - from giving Introductory Training
Flights <> to ground-school training <> to endorsing Students to Solo &
Cross-Country <> to giving biennial Flight Reviews to keep other Pilots

ADVANCED FLIGHT TRAINING
- Ready to move your skills to a new level? Then perhaps this class is for
you. Starting with a higher level of Ground School, and then a practical
dual training experience. After a solid and in-depth discussion of PPC
aerodynamics, we will take you to the 'skies' to demonstrate the practical
aspects of these maneuvers. Those interested in moving to a deeper
understanding and hence a safer - via more skilled - awareness should sign-up
for this class. -

COMPETITION PREPARATIONS/SKILLS
- Have you ever thought about competing in the PPC Championships?
Now keeping in mind that the powered parachute championships does
not require you to be one of the top pilots in the world to have FUN at
this event - NOT AT ALL!. The camaraderie and the support from other
pilots and other competitors is all you really need to have a great time at
this world class event...But...but if you did have a chance to refine your
piloting skill set, well, the event may indeed have the potential to be even
more rewarding; more fulfilling.And after this COMPETITION CLASS, the time flying in the actual
competitions will certainly be more relaxing - knowing what to expect -
and having completed this class will surely allow you a deeper awareness
of tasks situations and hence a better opportunity to improve your skills
